Fingerprint reader board (includes cable) 739567-001
Before removing the fingerprint reader board, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see
Bottom cover on page 35)
5. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 41).
6. Remove the keyboard (see
Keyboard on page 50)
7. Remove the heat sink/fan assembly (see
Heat sink/fan assembly on page 59)
8. Remove the system board (see
System board on page 61)
Remove the fingerprint reader board:
1. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the board to the computer.
2. Remove the bracket from atop the fingerprint reader board (2).
3. Remove the fingerprint reader board and cable from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the fingerprint reader board.
