7. Position the computer with the rear toward you.
CAUTION: Support the display assembly when removing the display screws in the following
steps. Failure to support the display assembly can result in damage to the assembly and other
components.
a. Remove the four Torx M2.5x7.0 screws (1) that secure the display hinges to the base
enclosure.
b. Remove the four Torx M2.5x3.0 screws (2) that secure the hinge cover to the base
enclosure.
c. Remove the display assembly (3) from the base enclosure.
8. Remove the display panel (see Display panel on page 79).
9. If it is necessary to replace the display hinge cover:
a. Rotate the display hinge cover (1) around the display assembly cables.
