Using Your Display
Advanced Configuration
NOTE These controls are for advanced users who want to optimize the purity
of the displayed image. Unnecessary adjustment of these controls may
adversely affect the overall performance of the display. Remember that
you can restore the factory settings at any time — refer to “Resetting
Individual Settings” above.
Convergence
Use this control if you see fringing in the displayed image.
That is when areas in the displayed image — more noticeably dark
areas — appear to have fringes of color round their edges.
You can adjust the horizontal and vertical convergence over the whole
screen. You can also adjust separately the vertical convergence settings
for the top and the bottom portions of the screen.
Select from the main menu. You will see one icon like this
and three icons like this . Highlight the convergence setting you
want to change, and use and to adjust. For best results, adjust
the horizontal and vertical convergence settings before adjusting the
individual settings for the top and bottom portions of the screen.
Landing
Use this control to correct variations in color temperature over
the displayed image. You can adjust separately the beam landing in
each corner of the screen.
Select from the main menu. You will see two icons like
this: . Highlight the upper icon and then use and to select
the corner of the screen you wish to make an adjustment for. Then
press to highlight the lower icon, and use and to adjust.
