Using Your Display
Degaussing Your Display
Your display may need degaussing if you see color impurities in the
displayed image, caused by magnetic interference.
Select from the main menu. Use and to to highlight .
Then press to degauss your display.
NOTE Your display degausses itself automatically when you turn it on. Do not
degauss your display repeatedly — leave at least 20 minutes between
attempts.
Fully Resetting Your Display
To fully reset you display, when no menu is displayed on the screen
press and hold it down for more than two seconds. Your display will
dim two times, and all settings, including brightness and contrast and
language setting, will be deleted and those preset in the factory are
restored.
NOTE If the reset button doesn't seem to work, check that the controls of your
display are not locked. Refer to “Locking and Unlocking the Controls of
Your Display” above.
Getting Information About Your Display
Your display indicates the horizontal frequency and the vertical
frequency of the current video mode whenever you adjust the
brightness or the contrast level.
Setting the Amount of Displayed Information
To set the amount of displayed information, change the screen
resolution of your PC. The higher the screen resolution, the more
information you can see on the screen. It is recommended that you use
a resolution of 1600
×
1200 at 85 Hz. This gives easy-to-read characters,
a large amount of displayed information, and a flicker-free image.
