NOTE: On models equipped with GTX graphics, the USB board is soldered on to the system board, and
cannot be removed.
Before removing the USB board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 34).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 37).
Remove the USB board:
1. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the USB board (1).
2. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (2) that secure the board to the computer.
3. Remove the board from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the USB board.
