Before removing the fan(s), follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 34).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 37).
Remove the fan in models with UMA graphics memory:
1. Disconnect the fan cable (1) from the system board.
2. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (2) that secure the fan to the computer.
3. Remove the fan from the computer (3).
Remove the fans in models with discrete graphics memory:
1. Disconnect the fan cables (1) from the system board.
2. Remove the ve Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (2) that secure the fans to the computer.
