Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 34), and then remove the following components:
a. Battery (see Battery on page 37)
b. Display assembly (see Display assembly on page 39)
Remove the power connector cable:
1. Make sure the left display hinge is in the open position.
2. Disconnect the power connector cable from the system board (1).
3. Release the cable from the retention clips and routing channel built into the computer and speaker (2).
4. Remove the power connector cable from the computer (3).
Remove the power connector cable on models equipped with GTX graphics:
1. Make sure the left display hinge is in the open position.
2. Disconnect the power connector cable from the system board (1).
3. Release the cable from the retention clips and routing channel built into the computer and speaker (2).
