Removal and Replacement Procedures

Steps 2 and 3 apply to processor sockets equipped with a
locking screw. Refer to steps 4 through 6 for instructions on
removing a processor from a socket equipped with a release
arm.
2. Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to turn the processor locking
screw 1 one-quarter turn counterclockwise until you hear a
click.
3. Lift the processor 2 straight up and remove it.

The gold triangle 3 on the processor should be aligned in the
rear right corner when you install the processor.
