7. If it is necessary to replace the display panel cable:
a. Remove the display bezel.
b. Remove the display hinges.
c. Remove the display panel.
CAUTION: Before placing the display panel with the panel facing down, make sure there are no
foreign objects (tools, screws, etc.) on the work surface. Failure to follow this caution can lead to
damage to the display panel.
d. Position the display panel with the panel facing down.
e. Release the tape (1) that secures the display panel cable to the display panel.
f. Release the adhesive support strip (2) that secures the display panel cable to the display
panel connector.
g. Disconnect the display panel cable (3) from the display panel.
