Before removing the bottom cover, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 33).
2. Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (Battery Safe mode on page 33).
Remove the bottom cover:
1. Loosen the ve captive Phillips screws (1).
2. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 5.0 screws (2) that secure the bottom cover to the computer.
3. Starting under the display, use a nonconductive, nonmarking tool to pry the cover up (3), and then
remove the cover from the computer (4).
Reverse these procedures to install the bottom cover.
