Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Place the computer in “Battery Safe mode” (Battery Safe mode on page 34).
3. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 35).
Remove the battery:
1. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (1) that secure the battery to the computer.
2. Lift the top of the battery (2), and then use a tool to push the tab back on the bottom left of the battery
(3).
3. Lift the battery out of the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
