Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:

1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 34).

2. Place the computer in “Battery Safe mode” (Battery Safe mode on page 34).

3. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 35).

4. Remove the battery (Battery on page 36).

5. Remove the display (Display assembly on page 60).

Remove the power connector cable:

1. Disconnect the cable from the system board (1).

2. Use a tool (2) to lever the connector up and out of the computer (3).

Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable.
