3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 30).
4. Remove the fan (see Fan on page 41).
When you replace the system board, be sure to remove the following components (as applicable) from the
defective system board and install them on the replacement system board:
● Memory modules (see Memory modules on page 34).
● WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 37).
● Heat sink (see Heat sink on page 42).
Remove the system board:
1. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
● Power connector cable (1)
● Display cable (2)
● Speaker cable (3)
● Antenna cables from the WLAN module (4)
● Display cable (5)
● Camera cable (ZIF) (6)
● Touchpad cable (reverse ZIF) (7)
● Keyboard cable (reverse ZIF) (8)
● Keyboard backlight cable (reverse ZIF) (9)
● Fingerprint reader cable (reverse ZIF) (10)
● RTC battery cable (11)
2. Remove the ve Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screws (1) that secure the system board to the computer.
3. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 5.0 screws (2) from the plastic bracket, and then remove the bracket
(3).
