Close the processor retaining bracket and the processor retaining latch.
5. Clean the old thermal grease from the heatsink with the alcohol swab. Allow the alcohol to
evaporate before continuing.
6. Apply all the grease to the top of the processor in one of the following patterns to ensure even
distribution:
7. Install the heatsink.
8. Close and lock the heatsink retaining latches.
9. Install the air baffle.
10. Install the PCI riser cage ("PCI riser cage" on page 36).
11. Install the access panel ("Access panel" on page 32).
12. Install the server into the rack.
13. Power up the server.
