Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 23).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 24).
Remove the battery:
1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (1).
2. Remove the three M2.0 × 2.5 screws (2) that secure the battery to the computer.
3. Remove the two M2.0 × 6.0 screws (3) that secure the connector to the computer.
4. Lift the battery and the connector from the computer (4).
5. Disconnect the connector from the battery (5).
6. If replacing the battery cable, remove the cable from its routing path in the computer (6).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
