Clearing SIMs
SIMs that are sent to hosts are also saved in the storage system. The following procedure clears
all SIMs from both mainframe and open systems:
CAUTION: You cannot delete only Continuous Access Journal Z SIMs. If you follow the procedure
below to clear all Continuous Access Journal Z SIMs, Continuous Access Journal SIMs are also
cleared at the same time. The SIMs of the entire storage system are cleared.
To clear all SIMs
1. In Remote Web Console, click Actions > Remote Copy > Continuous Access Journal Z > Optional
Operation.
2. Click to change the mode from View to Modify.
3. Click Clear SIM in the upper right corner of the window.
4. A message appears asking whether to delete SIMs. Click Yes.
