Indicators and Interfaces
Figure 5-10 shows the indicators on an 8ES2GS card, and Table 5-11 describes the indicator
states and meanings.

Indicator Color Description
1 STAT Green Slow blinking green: The system is
running properly.
Fast blinking green: The system is
powering on or restarting.
Red Steady on: A fault that affects
services has occurred. The fault
cannot be rectified automatically
and requires manual intervention.
Off Off: The system software is not
running or is resetting.
2 GE optical
interface
indicators
Green Steady on: A link has been
established on the interface.
Blinking: Data is being transmitted
or received on the interface.
Off: No link is established or no
data is being transmitted or received
on the interface.
