1. Eight asynchronous serial interfaces (RJ45)
Asynchronous serial interface
Asynchronous serial interfaces are commonly used WAN interfaces. They can be used to set
up private asynchronous connections for an enterprise, and provide modem dial-up access,
data backup, and remote terminal access functions. Table 5-18 lists attributes of an
asynchronous serial interface.
