Backup, restoration, and update
Local update
Download the update package from http://consumer.huawei.com , and save
the dload folder in the update package to the root directory of the microSD
card.
1. On the home screen, touch .
2. Under All , touch Updates .
3. Touch System updates > Local update and follow the onscreen instructions
to update your phone.
USB update
Download the update package from http://consumer.huawei.com , and save
the dload folder in the update package to the root directory of a USB flash
drive.
1. Connect the USB flash drive to your phone using a USB OTG cable. To
purchase a USB OTG cable, please contact an authorized Huawei retailer or
your device vendor.
2. On the home screen, touch .
3. Under All , touch Updates .
4. Touch System updates > Update via USB drive and follow the onscreen
instructions to update your phone.
