l Send power
Send power is the transmit power which is 0.5 W or 1 W. 1 W is generally used.
The higher the transmit power, the longer the signal transmitting distance, but the faster
the battery consumes. So when you make a DMO call in a very small coverage, you can
set the lower transmitting power.
l CTCSS
CTCSS which ranges from 0 to 38.
The values correspond to different CTCSS frequencies. CTCSS frequecies are used to
prevent external interferences. To communicate with each other, values of CTCSS on the
calling and called parties must be the same.
Setting the Volume and the Noise Level
1. Rotate the Speaker knob, and the screen of setting Telephone Call volume and Noise
Level will be displayed.
2. Press the PTT Call button or
(Up/Down) to select item.
3. Rotate the Speaker knob again to set the volume or the level.
The lower the noise level, the more sensitive the signal, the larger the DMO coverage
and the higher the noise. You can adjust the noise level according to the DMO coverage
and calling quality.
Making a DMO Call
1. Press the PTT Call button (on the side of the EP650 body) and speak after hearing a
beep tone.
2. Release the PTT Call button to terminate the call.
An EP650 automatically receives the DMO calls within its frequency range.
Switching from the DMO Mode to the PTT Mode
On the DMO screen, press
and press OK to switch to the PTT mode.
NOTE
If you select the LTE signal icon, you can view the signal strength of the PTT Mode.
DMO Group Function
The DMO group information can be issued to the terminal by delivering OTA parameter
settings on the eOMC910. After the group information is issued to the terminal, the user can
not set the Base Freq.
Select the group as follows:
l Press the menu key to enter the Group Management screen.
l Press the PTT group button.
