l After Bluetooth is disabled, the Bluetooth option is not displayed on the UE.
l After Bluetooth is enabled, users can turn on or off Bluetooth by choosing Settings >
ALL > WIRELESS&NETWORKS > Bluetooth on the UE.
Enabling/Disabling WLAN
Administrators enable or disable WLAN using the management tool.
l After WLAN is disabled, the WLAN option is not displayed on the UE.
l After WLAN is enabled, users can turn on or off WLAN by choosing Settings > ALL >
WIRELESS&NETWORKS > WLAN on the UE.
NOTE
l Connecting to a Wi-Fi network using WPS , choose one of the following methods:
l Select WPS Push Button, then press the WPS button on the Wi-Fi router.
l Select Input WPS PIN, then enter the PIN generated from your UE to the router.
l TMO has priority over WLAN services. When TMO is in service, WLAN services are not allowed.
Enabling/Disabling GPS
Administrators enable or disable GPS using the management tool.
l After GPS is disabled, the GPS option is not displayed on the UE.
l After GPS is enabled, users can turn on or off GPS by choosing Settings > ALL >
PRIVACY&SECURITY > Location access > Access my location on the UE.
Enabling/Disabling Installation and Uninstallation of Third-Party Software
Administrators enable or disable installation and uninstallation of third-party software using
the management tool.
l After installation and uninstallation of third-party software is disabled, third-party
software cannot be installed or uninstalled on the UE.
l After installation and uninstallation of third-party software is enabled, third-party
software can be installed and uninstalled on the UE.
Installing unauthorised third-party software to the UE may damage it or put your personal
information at risk.
System Security Settings
Choose Settings > ALL > Security to open the security setting page.
l SCREEN SECURITY: Protects user information when the UE is in standby mode by
setting the screen unlocking mode. The password must contain at least four characters
and a letter.
l SIM CARD LOCK: Protects the SIM information of users. (This feature applies to
public SIM card.)
l PASSWORDS: Protects the use security of the UE by setting and changing the startup
password. The password is six figures. If you enter an incorrect password for five
consecutively times when powering on the UE, you have to wait for 30s before
reentering a password. If you enter an incorrect password for five consecutively times
when changing the startup password, the UE will be reset.
