5 Software Architecture
Storage system software manages storage devices and the data stored on them, and assists
application servers in data operations.
The software suite provided by OceanStor 2600 V3 storage system consists of software
running on a storage system, software running on a maintenance terminal, and software
running on an application server. These three types of software work jointly to deliver storage,
backup, and disaster recovery services in a smart, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Figure 5-1 shows the storage system software architecture.
