After the power module is replaced, label it to facilitate subsequent operations.
4.1.5 Replacing a Power Module (for Data Switch)
This section describes how to replace a power module.
Impact on the System
In the process of replacing a power module on a data switch, if the redundant power supply on
the data switch fails unexpectedly, the data switch will be powered off. As a result, the I/O
forwarding workload transfers to another switch, degrading the system reliability.
Prerequisites
l The spare part is ready.
l The power module that you want to replace has been located.
Precautions
l Remove and insert a power module with even force. Excessive force may damage the
appearance or connectors of the power module.
l Remove only one power module at a time.
l After removing a power module, install a new one within two minutes. Otherwise, the
system heat dissipation is compromised.
