Safe City RTN510/PowerCube 500 DCN Configuration Guide
Scenario Description
Access to the third-
party network with
no need for VLANs
PowerCube 500: all
versions
RTN510: all versions
1. The service port and NMS port of the PowerCube 500 on the aggregation node are
connected.
2. In an RTN510 AP/RT network, management packets are tagged with VLAN 4094. When
data is transmitted to the third-party network, these packets are changed into non-VLAN-
tagged packets.
Access to the Layer
2 network through
VLAN 4094
PowerCube 500:
V200R001C10SPC3
00 or later
RTN510: all versions
Third-party networks require Layer 2 isolation between sites. Packets tagged with VLAN 4094
are transmitted to a Layer 2 network through the PowerCube 500 on the aggregation node.
Access to the third-
party network
through a VLAN ID
other than 4094
PowerCube 500:
V200R001C10SPC3
00 or later
RTN510: all versions
1. In an RTN510 AP/RT network, management packets are tagged with VLAN 4094.
2. On the port used by the PowerCube 500 on the aggregation node to connect to the third-
party network, VLAN 4094 is converted into the VLAN ID planned for the third-party
network.
Direct access to the
third-party network
by the AP/RT on the
aggregation node
The RTN510 AP/RT is used as the aggregation node to connect to the third-party network.
DCN configuration is important for Safe City video surveillance. After DCN configuration is completed, you can remotely manage the
PowerCube 500 and RTN510 through the NE IP address.
