Scenario 2: Access to the Layer 2 Network Through VLAN 4094
Networking
The following figure shows the networking diagram of access to the Layer 2
network through VLAN 4094. Packets used by the gateway to access the device
must be tagged with VLAN 4094.
Aggregation Node Configuration Principles
1. Set the gateway IP address of the PowerCube 500-3 to the IP address of the VLANIF
4094 subinterface of the third-party router.
2. Implement the Super L2DCN protocol for the port used by the PowerCube 500-3 to
connect to the third-party network.
3. Disable the DHCP client function on the PowerCube 500-3 on the aggregation node
and manually set the NE IP address. The NE IP address is also the gateway IP
address of the RTN510 AP.
4. Configure the AP as the DHCP server.
Enable the DHCP client function on the RTN510 RT, PowerCube 500-1, and
PowerCube 500-2. The AP at the aggregation site assigns IP addresses to them.
RT Site Configuration Principles
Third-Party Network Configuration Principles
Configure the VLANIF 4094 subinterface. The IP address of the subinterface is the
gateway IP address of the PowerCube 500-3 on the aggregation node.
For details about the configuration examples of the aggregation node and RT sites, see
scenario 1.
Configuration Examples
Note: After the DHCP server is enabled, the DHCP gateway IP
address is used to access the NE.
Note: After the DHCP client is enabled, the IP address allocated by
the DHCP server is used to access the NE.
