Tailgate/Spare Tire Carrier
Opening the Spare Tire Carrier
To open the spare tire carrier, do the following:
1. Press the button on the pin (B), which is attached to
the cable (A), to remove the pin from the latch
nut (C).
2. Lift up on the latch on the left side of the vehicle to
release the spare tire carrier from the vehicle. The
handle will stay in the raised position until the
spare tire carrier is closed and latched properly.
{CAUTION:
If you drive with the spare tire carrier
unlatched, you could injure pedestrians or
damage the vehicle. Make sure the carrier is
secure before driving.
