Powerview® Quick Start Guide Gen 2
This guide will help getting you started with your Powerview® purchase.
Step 1. Install your shades
Make sure you have properly installed your shades and that they are connected to a power source (battery pack or power
supply).
Step 2. Your Powerview® components
Packed with your purchased product you will nd one or more remotes, repeaters and a Hub (which is optional and only
required when you want to control your shades using a tablet or smartphone). Remotes come in different colours. Please
locate them all before you start.
Step 3. Pairing remotes
In case no remotes are used or you want to start the setup process using the PowerView® Hub & App, please proceed to
step 5

Assign unique names 'SOURCE' and 'TARGET' to remotes for pairing.

Pair Target Remote (Reset)

Press and hold the reset button on the target remote for six seconds.

Pair Source Remote (Stop Button)

Press and hold the stop button on the source remote until lights blink.

Pair Target Remote (Stop Button)

Press and hold the stop button on the target remote.

Confirm Remote Pairing

Confirm Pairing on Source Remote

Press and release the stop button on the source remote.

Source Remote Still Flashing

Press and hold stop button if source remote lights still flash.

Add Shade to Remote

Locate Manual Control Button

Find the manual control button on your shade.

Initiate Shade Pairing (Remote)

Press and hold the stop button on the remote for 6 seconds.

Activate Group 1 on Remote

Press the group 1 button on the remote to activate it.

Press and Hold Shade Button

Press and hold the manual control button on the shade.

Open Shade (Jog)

Press the open button; the blind will jog once.

Release Shade Button

Release the manual control button on the shade.

Finalize Shade Pairing (Remote)

Press and hold the stop button on the remote for 6 seconds.

Connect and Setup the Hub

Download PowerView App

Download the PowerView App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Connect Hub to Network Router

Connect the Hub to your router using an Ethernet cable via a LAN port.

Connect Hub Power Cable

Connect the Hub's power cable to a power outlet.

Hub LED Behavior Overview

Monitor the Hub's LED color for status indications.

Connect to Hub via App

Open the PowerView app and select 'Connect to Hub'.

Configure Hub Setup

Select 'Set Up' to begin configuring the discovered Hub.

New Setup Option

Choose 'New Setup' for a new Hub installation.

Create Hub Name

Enter a name for your Hub and press 'Next'.

Pair Hub with Remotes

Select 'Pair with PowerView Remotes' to connect remotes.

Specify Number of Remotes

Choose '1 remote' for this quick start guide.

Add Hub to Network

Follow instructions to add the Hub; LED turns solid blue when added.

Discovering Blinds

Begin the process of discovering your blinds.

Hub LED Behaviour Reference

Power On LED (Solid Aqua)

Hub status: Power On.

Bootup LED (Blinking Aqua)

Hub status: Bootup.

Firmware Update LED (Solid Amber)

Hub status: Downloading & applying firmware update.

WiFi Connect LED (Solid Magenta)

Hub status: Ready to connect to WiFi.

PowerView Network LED (Blinking Amber)

Hub status: Ready to join PowerView network.

Normal Operation LED (Solid Blue)

Hub status: Connected to PowerView network, normal operation.

Transmitting Signal LED (Flashing Blue)

Hub status: Transmitting a PowerView signal.

Secondary Hub Connected LED (Solid Green)

Secondary hub: Connected to PowerView network, normal operation.

Secondary Hub Transmitting LED (Flashing Green)

Secondary hub: Transmitting a PowerView network.

No IP Address LED (Solid Red)

Hub status: No IP address.

Install Repeaters

Repeater Placement Guidance

Place the Repeater halfway between the shade and the Hub/remote.

Check Hub Range and Add Repeaters

Ensure Hub reaches all shades; add/relocate repeaters if needed.

Plug in Repeater

Connect the new Repeater into a power outlet.

Initiate Repeater Pairing (Remote)

Press and hold the stop button on the remote for 6 seconds.

Confirm Repeater Pairing

Press stop button near repeater; the repeater light will stop blinking.

Repeater Added to Network

Confirmation that the repeater has been added to your PowerView network.

Additional Actions and Usage

Operate a Blind

General information on operating blinds based on product type.

Select Group Button for Operation

Press the desired group button (e.g., group 1) on the remote.

Operate Shade (Open)

Press the open button to move blinds assigned to the selected group.

Operate Shade (Stop)

Press the stop button to halt blinds assigned to the selected group.

Operate Shade (Close)

Press the close button to close blinds assigned to the selected group.

Set Favorite Position (Favorite Button)

Press the favorite button to move blinds to their favorite position.

Set Favorite Position (Move Open)

Press arrow up to tilt open or slowly move the blinds.

Set Favorite Position (Move Closed)

Press arrow down to tilt closed or slowly move the blinds.

Select Group for Favorite Setting

Select the group button on the remote to set the favorite position.

Set Favorite Position (Move Blind)

Use open, stop, and close buttons to move the blind to the desired favorite position.

Initiate Favorite Setting (Remote)

Press and hold the stop button on the remote for 6 seconds.

Set Favorite Position (Manual Button)

Press and hold the manual control button on the shade.

Confirm Favorite Position Set

Press the favorite button; the blind jogs and shows a green LED.

Release Manual Button (Favorite)

Release the manual control button on the shade.

Finalize Favorite Position (Remote)

Press and hold the stop button for 6 seconds if the remote is blinking.

Remove Shade from Group

Initiate Shade Removal (Remote)

Press and hold the stop button on the remote for 6 seconds.

Select Group for Removal

Select the group button (e.g., group 1) on the remote.

Remove Shade (Manual Button)

Press and hold the manual control button on the shade.

Confirm Shade Removal

Press the close button; the blind jogs to acknowledge removal.

Release Manual Button (Removal)

Release the manual control button on the shade.

Finalize Shade Removal (Remote)

Press and hold the stop button for 6 seconds if the remote is blinking.

Install Scene Controller

Start App and Open Menu

Start the PowerView app and open the side menu.

Select Scene Controllers Option

Navigate to 'Accessories' and then 'Scene Controllers'.

Erase Hub Data

Warning: Erase Hub Data Permanently

Erasing Hub data permanently deletes settings and resets the Hub to factory defaults.

Locate Reset Button on Hub

Find the 'Reset' button located on the back of the Hub.

Press and Hold Reset Button

Press and hold the Reset button for 6 seconds until the LED turns off.

Hub Reboot and Erase Complete

Hub reboots; data erased. Wait for blinking amber LED to indicate readiness.
