3 • Assembling and Hanging the Fan
Optional Downrod Instructions:

pipe. If you would like to use the enclosed optional 6 inch
downrod, follow the steps on this page.
Note: e Perfect Balance
TM
system is designed for downrods
that are 6” and shorter. If you use a downrod longer than 6
inches, do not activate the Perfect Balance
TM
system.
3-5. Removethepipeballscrewfromthestandarddownrod,
then slide the ball off the pipe.
3-6. Removethepinfromthepipe,thenslidethewedgeothe
pipe.
3-7.Removethescrewandgroundwirefromthepipe.
3-8. Reassemblethegroundwire,wedge,pin,ball,andpipeball
screw, in that order, onto the long downrod.
3-9.Go back to Step 3-2.
