Why does my Husqvarna 562 XP Chainsaw engine not start?
    • D
      Dillon RobinsonAug 10, 2025
If your Husqvarna Chainsaw engine doesn't start, it might be due to several reasons. You may have used the incorrect fuel type, in which case you should drain the fuel tank and refill it with the correct fuel. The spark plug could be dirty or wet; ensure it is clean and dry. Also, check if the spark plug is loose and tighten it if necessary. If the engine is flooded due to repeated starts with full choke, remove and clean the spark plug, lay the chainsaw on its side with the spark plug hole facing away from you, and pull the starter rope 6-8 times. Then, reassemble the spark plug and attempt to start the chainsaw.

If your Husqvarna Chainsaw starts and then stops, the issue might be related to the fuel or air supply. Make sure you're using the correct fuel type; if not, drain the tank and refill with the correct fuel. A clogged air filter could also be the culprit; try cleaning or replacing it. Similarly, a clogged fuel filter can cause this problem, so replace the fuel filter.
