Why does the pressure in my Hytorc Stealth 14 system not increase?

  The pressure in the system might not increase due to several reasons. There could be oil leakage because of a defective piston, piston seal, or O-ring, in which case you should replace the defective part. Alternatively, there might be leakage in the pressure relief valve or the two oil line connections; try tightening the leaking connection using a 9/16” open-end wrench. A worn motor coupling, indicated by the pump making sounds like pebbles in a tin can, can also cause this issue, requiring replacement of the motor coupling. Another cause might be the air shut-off valve failing due to excessive moisture or dirt in the air supply, which can be resolved by cleaning the air shut-off valve and the air lines. Lastly, the valve in the remote control might have failed and needs replacement.

Why is my Hytorc Stealth 14 moving slower than usual?

  If your tool is moving slower than usual, it could be due to a leakage in the system. To check, adjust the pump pressure to 700 bar (10,000 psi), switch off the pump unit while holding the start button. The pump pressure must decrease to 100 bar (1,450 psi). If the pump pressure decreases to 0 bar (0 psi), contact your local HYTORC representative.

  If the piston does not retract, it could be due to hose couplings on the tool and the pump unit not being secured properly. Ensure you securely tighten the female coupling to the male coupling.   If the tool operates backwards, it may be because an even number of hoses has been connected. Connect an odd number of hoses. Another possible cause is interchanged male and female couplings. Use a HYTORC twin hose to correct this.
