Preparation
of
your System Unit
Due to
the
length of
the
signal cable
on
your IBM
Monochrome Display,
the
IBM Monochrome Display
and
Printer
Adapter
should
be
installed
in
slot 7 when
used with the IBM Personal Computer
AT
Floor
Standing Option.

Warning:
To
prevent a permanent loss of
data
on
the fixed disk drive, we recommend
that
all files
be
backed up
and
that
the head
be
parked before
continuing with this procedure.
To
back up the data
stored
on
your fixed disk drive, see the
IBM
Disk
Operating System
manual for a description
of
the
BACKUP
command.
To
park
the head, load your
diagnostic diskette
and
select option 3, "Prepare
System for Moving".
