Common system attention LEDs and system reference codes

Read the following information to learn more about how to recover from common installation problems.
The following table describes LED status behaviors and describes the meaning of each behavior.
Table 9. Common installation system attention LEDs:
Front power
status LED
(green) ac in (green) dc out (green) Fault (yellow) Description
Flashing On On Off Power is being supplied to the system.
Flashing Off Flashing Off Power is not being supplied to one of
the power supplies, but power is being
supplied to the second power supply.
Off Off Off Off Power is not being supplied to either
power supply.
One power
supply's LED is
off, the second
power supply's
LED is flashing
On Off or flashing On Power is being applied, but the power
supply is not functioning properly.
Flashing On On On 110 volts are being applied. This system
requires 220 volts.
The following table describes system reference codes that you might encounter during installation.

1. Verify that line cords are plugged in correctly in the
following locations:
v drawer
v power distribution unit (PDU) (if applicable)
v battery backup unit (BBU) (if applicable)
v input source power receptacle
v
2. Verify that the Power Supplies are fully seated and
latched into position.

Your voltages don't match Make sure you are using 220 volts
Starts with 27xxx,
28xx, 57xxx
and ends with
xxxx3120, xxxx3121
Fiber channel port failure These errors are often caused by ports that are not used.
Every port must have a cable or wrap plug installed.
Whenever a cable is not installed, ensure a wrap plug is
installed for each unused port. Wrap plugs are shipped
automatically when a fiber channel feature code is
ordered.
