!6 POSITION INDICATOR
Shows the current position when position data is re-
ceived, or the position is manually entered.
•WhentheGPSpositionisinvalid,“??”mayblinkevery2sec-
onds instead of position. The last position is held for only
23.5 hours, and after that, “NO POSITION” is displayed.
•
“??”willblinkevery2secondsinsteadofposition,after4hours
have passed from the time when the position is manually en-
tered. The manually entered position is held for only 23.5 hours,
and after that, “NO POSITION” is displayed.
“NO POSITION” is displayed when no GPS receiver is
connected, and no position is manually input.
!7 SCAN INDICATOR
“SCAN 16” is displayed during a Priority scan; “SCAN”
is displayed during a Normal scan. (p. 20)
“DUAL 16” is displayed during Dualwatch; “TRI 16” is
displayed during Tri-watch. (p. 20)
!8 LOCAL ICON* (p. 14)
Displayed when the Attenuator function is turned ON.
*For only U.S.A. and Australian version transceivers.
Softkey function
Various functions can be assigned to the softkeys. When a
key function is assigned, the key icon is displayed above the
softkey, as shown below.

When or is displayed beside the key icon, sequentially
pushing []/[] displays the previous or the next key function
that is assigned to the softkey.
