OC FMM00

2.1. Pre-flight

Cockpit

 Flight and maintenance manual: in the luggage compartment;

 Weight and balance: verify for the center of gravity to fall within the allowed limitations;

 Fuel reserve light: verify for it to function;

 Fuel level: checked through the visual indicator;

 Trim motor: verify for it to function;

 Flaps motor (if installed): verify for it to function;

 Ignition switches – both disengaged;

 Main switch – disengaged;

 Radio transmitting device (if installed) – disconnected.

Doors

 Check the hinges of both doors and in particular the weldings.

 Check the closure and the safety closure well fixed.

Lh half wing

 Wing – fuselage front connection: check the integrity of the connection;

 Wing – fuselage rear connection: check the integrity of the connection;

 Strut – fuselage connection: check the integrity of the connection;

 Connection of the strut to the wing: check the integrity of the connection;

 Wing: check the integrity of leading edge, nose, the absence of rivets or cracks near

holes, and the presence of the vortex generators;

 Flaperon hinges: check for the presence of split pins, integrity of the hinge and

absence of play;

 Flaperon: Check for the integrity of the flaperon nose, for no cracks to be present in

correspondence with the riveting and of the through slots of the holding plates; check

for the trailing edge not to be damaged;

 Flaperon control: verify for the integrity of the connection between the control rod and

control lever;

 Flaperon control: verify for the connection between the control rod and the fixing

brackets to the spar to be sound.

 Pitot pipe: remove the cover (if present);

 Cap: verify for the tank cap to be tight.

Lh main undercarriage

 Tyres: wear and related inflation pressure;

 Wheel fairing (if installed): for it to be fixed to its connections.

Rear fuselage

 Rivets: presence of all rivets and absence of cracks in correspondence of the skin

bores;

 Inspection panel: remove the panel and verify for the absence of cracks on the spar

frames; for the integrity of the control rods and idler arms;

 Tail skid: verify for it to be well fixed.
