IDS NXT: Setup IDS NXT rio
The first time the program is started, a firewall security prompt is displayed. Allow firewall
access to all networks (domain network, private networks and public networks).
In Windows Defender Firewall, IDS Vision Cockpit must have the following permissions (Control Panel\All
Control Panel Items\Windows Defender Firewall\Allowed Apps):

After launching, you will be in the Finder ("device overview"). IDS NXT cockpit scans the network for IDS NXT
cameras and lists them in this overview. A login to IDS NXT cameras is possible by direct entry of an IP
address.
Automatic finding of IDS NXT cameras only works if the following parameters are possible in
the network:
· UDP broadcasts via port 5055 ("Finder” queries from IDS NXT cockpit)
· TCP response from devices via port 5055
· UDP broadcasts via port 3956 (GVCP - GigE Vision Control Protocol)
You can see more detailed information about the found devices when you select a device.
