Frequently Asked Questions
If a POS device stops working, call the Call Centre to have it swapped out. A replacement
POS device will be delivered to your store, and the faulty POS device will be collected.
Ensure that you batch the faulty POS device before handing it over to the collection
personnel. If you cannot do so, contact SBSA Merchant Solutions on 086 100 1200
(option 2) to log a call so your transactions can be captured manually. Have all your
merchant copies ready.
Hold down the yellow button and the full stop button at the same time to
reboot the POS device
Press the green button to turn the POS device back on
Ensure that you always keep your device powered on to ensure the POS device
obtains the relevant software and parameter updates, including updates to the
hot card le which generally take place after business hours. Keeping the POS
device powered also ensures that the transactions processed during the day
are sent to the bank for processing and settlement
Plug the two-pin charger into a power socket
Push the charging pin into the micro USB charging port on the left side of
the POS device behind the rubber protector
This means the transaction has not gone through and will be reversed. Start a new
transaction from the beginning.
