Solution
The encoder cable is not
connected reliably. The
communication between the
servo drive and the encoder
times out.
Check the wiring of the
encoder and power on the
servo drive again.
1. Check the encoder cable
connections.
2. Check whether vibration
on site is too strong,
which loosens the
encoder cable and even
damages the encoder.
3. Replace with a new
encoder cable. If the fault
no longer occurs after
cable replacement, the
original encoder cable is
damaged.
4. Check whether the
encoder version (H00.04)
is set properly.
5. Check whether the servo
drive software version
(H01.00).
6. Replace the servo motor.
● E740.2: Absolute encoder communication error
