Releasing pressure

Timed natural release
The carryover cooking continues for a specic amount of time, then stops quickly when
you release the remaining pressure. Perfect for nishing rice and grains.
What to do What to expect
Let the multicooker rest for a while (the amount
of time will vary by recipe) then press the quick
release button down until it clicks and locks into
the Vent position and wait for all pressure inside
the multicooker to release.
A jet of steam ejects through the top of the
steam release valve.
The temperature within the multicooker
drops, so the steam release may not be
as powerful as a normal QR.
When pressure has been fully released, the
oat valve drops into the lid.
