What causes green hair in Intex Swimming Pool?

  Green hair in your Intex Swimming Pool is often caused by a high copper ion concentration. Drain about 20% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the copper ion concentration below 0.2ppm. You can also add aluminum sulfate (around 2g per 1000 liters of water) or aluminum potassium sulfate (around 3g per 1000 liters of water). Using 'Ultra-Swim' shampoo, or shampoo containing chelating agents can help.

  If your Intex Swimming Pool has an insufficient copper ion level, increase the operating time per day. If the pH is too high, use a pH decrease chemical to adjust it. Increase the operating time per day if the bather load has increased. Inspect and clean the electrolytic cell if it's clogged or dirty.

  If there is no LED display on your Intex Swimming Pool, ensure the cell cord is firmly plugged into the cell housing receptacle. Also, check if the RCD/GFCI has not reset; if so, reset it. If you pressed two buttons together, shut down and turn on the power again, and re-set the time.
