Why is my Intex ECO 8220 not producing enough chlorine?

If your Intex Water System isn't producing enough chlorine, several factors could be at play. It might not be running long enough each day, so increase its operating time. The salt level could be too low (below 2000ppm); check it with a test kit and adjust as needed. Intense sunlight can also deplete chlorine, so use a pool cover when the pool isn't in use or when the system is running. Increased bather load also requires increased operating time. A clogged or dirty electrolytic cell can cause this issue, so remove it for inspection and clean if necessary. Also high UV level exposure can affect chlorine level. In this case, cover the pool with a pool cover for 2 days with the device running and then test the water using the test strips.
