Note: The Firefly Imaging System is a fully integrated part of the da Vinci Surgical System
(da Vinci system). For information on topics not addressed in this document, refer to the
applicable system user manual.
WARNING: Only use the system with a compatible endoscope. Do not connect the
endoscope to a third-party device. Failure to observe this warning presents risk of exposure
to laser energy that could result in injury to the operator or the patient, and could cause
improper functioning.
WARNING: Use of Firefly fluorescence imaging depends on illumination coming only from
da Vinci endoscopes; any external or additional light sources may lead to poor imaging
quality, which can result in inaccurate interpretation of the image and subsequent tissue
damage. The da Vinci Firefly Imaging System is a fully integrated part of the da Vinci
surgical system, and is for use only with these systems. It is not intended for use with any
other surgical imaging systems.
