Maintenance Procedures
Adjusting Arm Angle and Tension
WARNING
The lift arms should be tight and secure when in the up or lifted position. If the lift
arms are not tight, they may fall causing injury to either resident or attendant and
damage to the lift.
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 3.1.
1. Removetheliftshroudbypullinguponit,disengaingthehookandloopstripthat
securestheshroudtotheliftframe.
2. Dooneorbothofthefollowing:
Toadjusttheangle‐Dependingontheangle,eithertighenorloosenoneofthe
fourjamnutsthatrestoneitherstoppingplate(DetailA”).
Toadjustthetension‐Dependingonthetension,eithertightenorloosenoneof
thefourjamnutscontrollingarmtension(Detail“B”).
3. Tightenthearmclamp.
NOTE:Tightenthearmuntilitissecuredandstableinaliftedposition.
4. Installtheliftshroud.
