Performing Maintenance
RefertoMaintenanceandTroubleshootingonpage 17foramaintenancescheduleand
procedures.
Regularmaintenanceofliftsandaccessoriesisnecessarytoassureproperoperation.
Castersandaxleboltsrequireinspectionseverysixmonthstocheckfortightness,wear,
debris(suchashairanddirt)andthattheyrollfree.
Afterthefirsttwelvemonthsofoperation,inspectallglides,rollers,andfastenersfor
wear.Ifthemetalisworn,thepartsMUSTbereplaced.Makethisinspectioneverysix
monthsthereafter.
Theelectricmotorissealedatthefactoryandifserviceisrequired, themotorunitMUST
bereturnedtothefactoryforrepair.DONOTattempttoopenthemotororobtainlocal
serviceasthiswillVOIDthewarrantyandmayresultindamageandacostlyrepair.
ConsultyourdealerorInvacareforfurtherinformation.
Electrical - Grounding Instructions
DONOT,underanycircumstances,cutorremovetheroundgroundingprongfromany
plug.Somedevicesareequippedwiththreeprong(grounding)plugsforprotection
againstpossibleshockhazards.Whereatwoprongwallreceptacleisencountered,itis
thepersonalresponsibilityandobligationofthecustomertocontactaqualified
electricianandhavethetwoprongreceptaclereplacedwithaproperlygroundedthree
prongwallreceptacleinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode.Ifyoumustusean
extensioncord,useonlyathreewireextensioncordhavingthesameorhigherelectrical
ratingasthedevicebeingconnected.Inaddition,InvacarehasplacedRED/ORANGE
WARNINGTAGSonsomeequipment.DONOTremovethesetags.Carefullyread
battery/batterychargerinformationpriortoinstalling,servicingoroperatingyourlift.
