procedures.
Regularmaintenanceofliftsandaccessoriesisnecessarytoassureproperoperation.
Castersandaxleboltsrequireinspectionseverysixmonthstocheckfortightness,wear,
debris(suchashairanddirt)andthattheyrollfree.
Afterthefirsttwelvemonthsofoperation,inspectallglides,rollers,andfastenersfor
wear.Ifthemetalisworn,thepartsMUSTbereplaced.Makethisinspectioneverysix
monthsthereafter.
Theelectricmotorissealedatthefactoryandifserviceisrequired, themotorunitMUST
bereturnedtothefactoryforrepair.DONOTattempttoopenthemotororobtainlocal
serviceasthiswillVOIDthewarrantyandmayresultindamageandacostlyrepair.

Electrical - Grounding Instructions
DONOT,underanycircumstances,cutorremovetheroundgroundingprongfromany
plug.Somedevicesareequippedwiththree‐prong(grounding)plugsforprotection
againstpossibleshockhazards.Whereatwo‐prongwallreceptacleisencountered,itis
thepersonalresponsibilityandobligationofthecustomertocontactaqualified
electricianandhavethetwo‐prongreceptaclereplacedwithaproperlygroundedthree‐
prongwallreceptacleinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode.Ifyoumustusean
extensioncord,useonlyathree‐wireextensioncordhavingthesameorhigherelectrical
ratingasthedevicebeingconnected.Inaddition,InvacarehasplacedRED/ORANGE
WARNINGTAGSonsomeequipment.DONOTremovethesetags.Carefullyread
battery/batterychargerinformationpriortoinstalling,servicingoroperatingyourlift.
