This guide has been written for those who are committed, every day to saving lives, following accidents involving one or
more vehicles. In particular, it is for the Fire Ser vice and for those whose t ask it is to remove these vehicles.
We do not presume to teach any of those who already do a wonderful job: our objective is simply to make interventions
easier, helping to speed up processes and, maybe even, help save more human lives.
For this reason, the content indicates, for example, the layout of the t ank or the cylinders on diesel, CNG and LNG vehicles,
with reference made to safety regulations, operator behaviour in the event of a gas leak or fire, together with information
regarding access to the vehicles or trailer release.
Of course we fully unders tand that all accidents are different, in size and seriousness and that it can be difficult to est ablish
guide lines which can be the same for all eventualities but we do hope that this manual can be of some help.
In moments of intense emotion where, paradoxically, calm is essential, it is our hope that this g uide will clarify any doubts
and may be an effective "tool", easy to refer to, able to assist rescuers and providing important information in a clear and
concise way.
