8. Available Options
In the standard version of the CAN-Repeater, the CAN-connections of the
voltage supply and the two CAN-circuits are electrically isolated.
As an option, the Repeater can also be supplied without electrical isolation. This
reduces power consumption and delay time. In this option the Repeater can be
operated with a bit rate of up to 1 Mbits/s.
As a further option, CAN 2 can be designed as a low-speed interface. The
Repeater can thus be used as a level converter between low-speed and high-
speed CAN busses.
