* Set the stitch width in accordance with the
thickness of the cord used.
* To cut the opening and to reset for sewing the
next buttonhole, refer to the instructions on
page 24.
z With the buttonhole foot raised, hook the
filler cord on the cord spur at the back of the
buttonhole foot.
x Bring the ends toward you under the
buttonhole foot until they clear the front end.
c Hook the filler cord info the forks on the front
of the automatic buttonhole foot R to hold
them tight.
v Lower the needle into the garment where the
buttonhole will start and lower the foot.
b Depress the foot control gently and sew the
buttonhole.
Each side of the buttonhole and the bartacks
will be sewn over the cord.
n Remove the fabric from the machine and cut
the sewing threads.
m Pull the left end of the filler cord to tighten it.
, Thread the end through a darning needle,
draw to the bottom side of the fabric and cut.
