Section 3 Fill Components
3 FILL COMPONENTS
e following components are necessary to ll a Janus Fire Systems® cylinder assembly with FM-200®.
3.1 Fill Adapter
A ll adapter is installed into the discharge outlet of the cylinder valve during the ll procedure to
accommodate the attachment of the cylinder ll assembly. Each Series valve requires a dierent type of ll
adapter.
3.1.1 Sv Series Fill Adapter
P/N 99515 (See Figure 3.1.1)
e Sv Series ll adapter consists of a 1-1/4 in (32 mm) MNPT
pipe plug tted with a 1/4 in (8 mm) male quick-connect tting.
e 1-1/4 in (32 mm) MNPT connection attaches to the Sv Series
discharge valve in place of the anti-safety recoil device. e 1/4 in (8
mm) male quick-connect tting attaches to a 1/4 in (8 mm) female
quick-connect tting on the cylinder ll assembly. e male quick-
connect tting contains an internal check valve that prevents agent
from owing through the tting unless it is connected to the cylinder
ll assembly.
3.1.2 Mv Series Fill Adapter
P/N 99514 (See Figure 3.1.2)
e Mv Series ll adapter consists of a 2 in (50 mm) grooved pipe
plug tted with a 1/4 in (8 mm) male quick-connect tting. Pipe
plug attaches to the Mv Series discharge valve using the 2 in (50
mm) grooved coupling shipped with the cylinder assembly as part of
the anti-safety recoil device. e 1/4 in (8 mm) male quick-connect
tting attaches to a 1/4 in (8 mm) female quick-connect tting on
the cylinder ll assembly. e male quick-connect tting contains an
internal check valve that prevents agent from owing through the
tting unless it is connected to the cylinder ll assembly.
3.1.3 Lv Series Fill Adapter
P/N 99513 (See Figure 3.1.3)
e Lv Series ll adapter consists of a 3 in (80 mm) grooved pipe
plug tted with a 1/4 in (8 mm) male quick-connect tting. Pipe
plug attaches to the Lv Series discharge valve using the 3 in (80
mm) grooved coupling shipped with the cylinder assembly as part of
the anti-safety recoil device. e 1/4 in (8 mm) male quick-connect
tting attaches to a 1/4 in (8 mm) female quick-connect tting on
the cylinder ll assembly. e male quick-connect tting contains an
internal check valve that prevents agent from owing through the
tting unless it is connected to the cylinder ll assembly.
