adap ter plat e and g asket. R e move the oil seal fr om
th e plate and, if damaged, discard the sea l.
b. R
emo ve the transmission cont rol ho us ing as-
sembly. R efer to the l ast paragrap h of th is secti on
for i ts disa ss embly.
c. To make certain t he two blocking rings, direct -
and - thi rd clutch hub , and direct - and-t hird clutc h
sleeve will be as sembled in their or iginal rela tion-
ship, mark th em with a quick dryin g lacquer or an
el ectric pencil. Also mark the block ing ring, low-
and - second clutch hub, a nd the low-and-se co nd
speed gear.

the rear of th e tra nsmis si on case.
e. Disengage the reverse s hif ting arm and reverse
