Usage Features
Basic Operation
- Power/Mode: Press the POWER/MODE button to turn the unit on. Press and hold to enter standby mode. Cycle through available modes by pressing the button.
- Volume Control: Use the VOLUME ▲/▼ buttons to increase or decrease the volume output. Press and hold for continuous adjustment.
- Audio Menu Setting: Press the AUDIO/SETTING button to access audio adjustments like Bass (BAS), Treble (TRE), Balance (BAL), and Loudness (LOUD). Use VOLUME ▲/▼ to make adjustments.
- System Menu Setting: Press and hold the AUDIO/SETTING button to enter system menu list. Press again to cycle through options like Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Back Light (Dimmer), Sleep Mode, Alarm Setting, Bluetooth settings (BT ON/OFF, BT DEV, BT PAIR, Preset Volume), and Reset.
- LCD Back Light: Adjust brightness from "BRI 9" (brightest) to "BRI 0" (off).
- Sleep Mode: Set a sleep timer (0, 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes) for automatic unit turn-off.
- Alarm Setting: Turn the alarm ON/OFF. Adjust hour and minute using VOLUME ▲/▼ buttons.
- Auxiliary Input Function: Connect portable audio devices via the 1/8" AUX IN connector on the front or RCA jacks on the rear. Select AUX 1/AUX 2 mode using the POWER/MODE button.
- Zone Output: ZONE A and ZONE B buttons control speaker output for respective zones.
Tuner Operation
- Select a Band: Press BAND/ENTER to switch between FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, and AM2 bands.
- Manual Tuning: Use the tune up (>>) or tune down (<<) buttons for single-step frequency adjustment. Press and hold to seek the next strong station.
- Preset Stations: Six numbered preset buttons are available for storing and recalling stations.
- Store Preset Stations: Select a band and station, then hold a preset button for one second.
- Recall Preset Stations: Select a band, then momentarily press a preset button.
- Automatically Store / Preset Scan (AS/PS):
- Automatically Store: Press and hold AS/PS for over one second to scan and store six strong stations for all bands.
- Preset Scan: Press AS/PS momentarily to scan all preset stations in the current band, playing each for five seconds.
Bluetooth Operation
- Pairing a Bluetooth Device: Press and hold the PAIR button to initiate pairing. The unit will become discoverable as "JWM10A." Select JWM10A on your mobile device and enter "0000" if prompted.
- Bluetooth Audio (A2DP): Stream audio from connected Bluetooth devices. The LCD will display "BT AUDIO" in BT mode.
- Selecting Tracks: Use tune up (>>) or tune down (<<) buttons to navigate tracks.
- Pausing Playback: Press the ►II button to pause/resume playback.
- Bluetooth Menu Options: Access by pressing the PAIR button.
- Device List: View paired devices. Select a device and choose to connect/disconnect, lock/unlock, or delete it.
- Locked/Unlocked: Lock a device to prevent it from being removed from the list if more than 5 devices are used.
- Disconnect: Temporarily remove the BT link.
- Delete: Remove a device from the list.
APP Operation (Jensen Specialty Controller)
- Functionality: The app transforms your mobile device into a remote control for the JWM10A, offering control over power, volume, mute, AM/FM tuner, Bluetooth streaming, auxiliary audio inputs (analog 1 & 2, digital coaxial, digital optical), speaker selection (A and/or B), audio menu controls (bass, treble, balance, volume, speaker selection), clock, sleep timer, and alarm. It also provides visual display feedback.
- Connecting: After downloading and installing the jControl app, pair your device via Bluetooth. Once paired, open the app and use it as instructed in the jControl app manual (available at http://asaelectronics.com/manuals-guides).
- Note for Android: Close the app before Bluetooth pairing to avoid connection errors.
Maintenance Features
- Use Proper Power Supply: Designed for 12-volt DC, negative ground battery systems.
