- If spillage is still present there is insufficient flue pull which may be due to the following reasons:
· Fireplace unsatisfactory.
· Coal beds or coals incorrectly laid.
· Chimney unsatisfactory (blockage etc).
· Insufficient air supply in the room (Ventilation).
- If after investigating the above and spillage is still present, disconnect the appliance from the gas
supply and seek expert advice.
Handing Over
- Read the Users instructions and instruct the user on the operation of the fire and cleaning
methods. Leave instructions with the user.
- The user should be told that any odours are due to the newness of materials and should disperse
after a few hours operation.
- The user should be informed that the fire should be serviced annually and the chimney checked
for flue pull and blockage.
